A Peek into My Closet

Wow. This post feels so personal. So revealing. So intimate.

I do not have a large closet. It is not a walk in closet. In order to stretch the space I rotate my seasonal clothing, so for now, my summer clothes are up in the attic.
Teeny Tiny!
I hang all shirts and vests here.
Left top
Pants and shorter skirts go here.
Left bottom
Long clothes (dresses, long skirts) go here.
Right side
I recently switched out what was in the hanging thing. I used to put sweaters in there but I recently made that my purse holder with few sweatshirts in the extra spaces.

Also I recently gave an old TV the boot and I claimed this armoir as my own. I rotate shoes (in boxes), sweaters and scarves. I plan on finding a way to hang scarves. I have outgrown my storage box! I'm thinking of stringing a ribbon inside the doors and draping them over that. We'll see.

I welcome any tips on how I can better use my space! Leave me a comment!

I'm linking with these other bloggers below! Check out what their closets look like. My guess is that they are bigger than mine!

  1. No kidding on the scary intimate...I had to do a quick clean and make sure anything really personal was peaking out. As for tips when you have a smaller space, in my old house, I had a book shelf that I made into shoe storage so that I had more space in the closet.

    1. I can totally appreciate that! My closet is in my home office and during inspections there is the fear that every drawer and door is opened. Closets are pretty personal :)

  3. I love the idea of the armoire for extra storage. Huggable Hangers are the black velvet ones (I think they used to sell them at Costco) - they are slim and take up less space, plus your clothes don't slide off. Have a great weekend!

  4. I like the hanging organizer that your purse fits into. That is a great way to store them and makes them easy to access.

  9. I agree with Lana, huggable hangers, it's the only thing I use...they are the best! I don't know if I could do the rotating my clothes out, although I guess come Spring/Summer when you get those clothes out it's like Christmas and getting new clothes. Hmm....

  10. I don't have a choice. I just done't have the room. We did it growing up too so I'm used to it. Yes, it's true. It does feel like Christmas when you go through the clothes that have been in storage. It's also a great way to stay on top of cleaning your closet out because as you pull things out to decide whether or not to keep it down our put it up you also decide whether to keep it at all!
